Despite not being the top scorer on the night for her Copleston side (Becky Harwood-Bellis had 21), Esther’s impressive stat stuffing performance was the key factor in leading her team past JMA in the 79-49 Week 13 victory, which ultimately places the Ipswich-based side at the top of the Southern Conference.

On receiving the WEABL Player of the Week Award Little commented, “I’m very grateful to receive this award. The game against JMA really showed what we are capable of doing this season. It was the first game where we had a full team and the hard work from the beginning of the season is really paying off. Despite the result, we have a lot of things to work on and we need to keep our feet on the floor. It’s only our first year together and we have a long way to go. JMA are 2nd in the league and shouldn’t be looked past. They’ve proven to be a hard team to beat.

Copleston Head Coach, Nick Drane praised Esther’s performance saying, “Esther will be the first person to tell you that this was a total team effort. We had a game plan which the whole team stuck to. Esther’s versatility and ability to impact a game in so many different way’s always plays a huge role in any game plan and preparation we do and she does a fantastic job as one of the leaders of this team. She dominates the game in so many different ways – not just scoring, as was demonstrated by a brilliant all round performance in what was a massive win for the team.”
