The Under-18 Men secured a 76-62 win at Cambridge Cats with a great all round team display.
“This was probably the best game of the season to coach so far with a great atmosphere from the bench,” said Coach Noel Lambert, who praised his team’s ability to react to changes in the game’s momentum.
Jacob Morgan led all scorers with 19 points; Emmanuel Onwuka added 16 and Troy Huggins chipped in another 15.
The Under-16 Boys saw their Saturday fixture postponed before losing to Leicester Riders 68-58 away from home on Sunday afternoon.
The team’s poor 2019 continued with another slow start being their undoing. Poor foul shooting and missed offensive opportunities in transition turned what on paper should have been a comfortable victory into a damaging loss.
Harry Syrett scored 26 points while Seb Mobee finished with 16.
Elsewhere, the Under-14 Boys picked up an impressive 74-56 win at London Greenhouse Pioneers while the Under-16 Girls’ difficult season continued with a 99-41 loss at Sheffield Hatters.
