Weekly Junior Wrap: U16 Girls celebrate success

The U12 Mixed suffer a loss in Norfolk 101:66 to Norfolk Hoopstars. Freya Drane dominated for the Suffolk side with an incredible 41 points for the team despite the loss.


The U14 Boys were left to take a 5 point loss on Saturday to Sevenoaks Suns with a final score 68-73. Gl Jacobs Da Silva led the scorers with an impressive 31 points followed by Harry Gladstone with 9. Kian Naseri also got in on the action by adding 8 points for the team.


The U14 Girls experienced a tough loss at home to Richmond Knights on Saturday morning. Kuini Mate top scored with 18 points closely supported by teammate, Nuria Barbosa, with 17 points. The game finished with Richmond taking the win 47-61.


The U16 Girls celebrated success over Reading Rockets on Saturday closing the game out 54-29. Tanaia Robinson led the team with 14 points followed by triple 11 point performances from Kara Bassil, Kelci Woodgate and Anna Koscielny-Lamaire. The teams efforts award them with this weeks Team Performance of the Week.


An unlucky weekend for the U16 Boys left the boys coming away from the capital with an 82-66 loss on the road to True Vision Elite. Despite the loss, Tim Rafiu stood out with 18 points to control the scorers whilst Tobi Dada added a further 13 for the boys.


The U18 Men found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard after a tough match up on the road to City of London Academy (CoLA). In spite of the teams collective effort, the boys fell short of 4 points in a 68-64 loss.
