Endeavour Ipswich Senior Women produced a composed and well‑organised performance on Saturday, earning a 75–62 victory over Bristol Flyers at SGS College WISE Campus.
Ipswich started the game with confidence, moving the ball effectively and establishing an early rhythm. Harriet Welham was active around the basket, Maisie Keyes managed the tempo with assurance, and Angel Whyte provided steady support as Ipswich built a 20–15 lead after the opening quarter.
Bristol improved in the second period, but Ipswich maintained control through solid defensive work and timely scoring. Hailey Counsell contributed from the perimeter, while Olivia Partridge worked hard inside to secure second‑chance opportunities. Ipswich went into halftime ahead 30–27, reflecting a balanced and disciplined first half.
The Flyers enjoyed their strongest spell in the third quarter, briefly pulling level at 45–45. Ipswich responded calmly, with Welham and Counsell finding important baskets and Whyte helping to settle the offence. By the end of the period, Ipswich had restored a six‑point advantage.

In the fourth quarter, Ipswich gradually pulled away. Their defensive pressure forced Bristol into difficult shots, and Holly Ensoll made a notable impact on the boards, helping Ipswich control possession. Keyes continued to guide the team effectively and added a late three‑pointer that extended the lead and confirmed the result.
Bristol competed throughout, but Ipswich’s consistency, rebounding strength and ability to execute in key moments proved decisive. The win reflects the team’s growing cohesion and their ability to manage games with maturity.
“It was great to start 2026 with a solid win a and good team performance. Bristol are a strong experienced team in this league and are not a team to be taken lightly” Said Ipswich assistant Coach Cyril Driscoll.
Ipswich host National Cup Finalists London Cavaliers on Saturday the 17th January at 3pm in the first double-header with the IBC Senior Men of 2026 – who host Anglia Ruskin at 6pm.
