Weekly Junior Wrap: 2/2 for the U18 Men!

An unfortunate weekend for the juniors in the club as we approach the end of the regular season games.



The U12 Mixed team took a loss to Milton Keynes on Sunday losing 116-78. Freya Drane displayed her talent through a big 27 points with Jacob Geaves joining in the action with 22.

 

The U14 Boys fell to Newham Youngbloods 70-129 on Saturday in a final home game. Harry Gladstone put on a show scoring 18 points for the team closely followed by Kian Naseri (16) and Khamanai Fox De Silva (14).

 

The U16 Girls went down at CoLA in a 54-42 match up.

 

The U16 Boys finished their season with an unlucky loss to a tough West Herts Warriors in a 85-60 scoreline. Jaziah Mussington top scored with 16 points alongside Tobi Dada adding another 14 for the team.

 

The U18 Men celebrated a weekend of success after going 2/2 of their double header. Saturday saw the team win in a 4-point game taking a 79-75 win over Brixton at HQ. Harry Laws showed out with a 26-point performance with Fin Morgan contributing another 16 points. Matt Liddamore also scored 14 towards the boys win.

Day 2 of the team’s double header saw the U18 Men beat CoLA in a close match up, finding themselves on the right side of the 73-71 score. Matt Liddamore found himself in the top scorers once again with a joint 12 points with teammate Charlie Smythe. Femi Edu also scored 11 points. The two wins present the team with Team Performance of the Week.

 

The U18 Women finished their final regular season with an unlucky loss to CoLA 59-41. Holly Heard led the team with 11 points while Anna Cartwright scored 10. The team now focus their attention to the first round of playoffs where they will face Charnwood College Riders.
