Weekly Junior Wrap: U16 Girls win big on the road as U18 Men get first victory of the season

Welcome to another issue of our Weekly Junior Wrap, where we recap the results for our junior sides as they travel around the country in search of their all important wins.

Saturday saw two away trips for our junior sides. In the first, our Under 14 Boys fell by 3 to Milton Keynes after rallying from a 26 point deficit in the third quarter. Ultimately the comeback fell short as MK ran out 76-73 winners. Jaziah Mussington continued his fine form to start the season with 27 points, while Isaac Little and Jake Woolbridge each contributed 9. This puts the Under 14 Boys at 0-2 for the season.

Later that day, also on the road, our Under 18 Men secured their first win of the season, bouncing back from a defeat last weekend to beat London Lions 76-71 on the road. Charlie Smythe led the scorers with 15, with a balanced offence also receiving contributions of 14 from Harrison Gregg, 12 from Sam Wood and 9 from Harry Laws. The Under 18 Men are 1-1 after game week 2.

Maia Wiseman led the scoring with 21 points in 75-19 win at Luton for U16 Girls

Finally on Sunday, our Under 16 Girls dominated on the road against Luton to win 75-19 and move to 2-0 on the season and maintain their unbeaten start in all competitions. Maia Wiseman led the way with 21 points, while DeAnna Carrington and Issy Roberts supported with 19 and 13 points respectively.
